Ryan Barry

DIRECTOR OF STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

 

Coach Ryan Barry brings to Teamworks Sports Performance a long history of developing athletes (from youth to professional) and helping adult clients reach their fitness goals.  With his experience as a two sport college athlete, coach and strength coach, he understands what is expected to compete at a high level and knows how to adapt workouts to the individual needs of each client.


Prior to joining TSP, Ryan worked at the Fieldhouse in Sudbury, where he specialized in athletic development of youth, middle school, high school and college athletes.  He was also a Personal Trainer at Boston Sports Clubs, where he worked with a wide range of clients, and the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Becker College where he helped prepare the football program and conference champion softball team.


Ryan is currently an assistant football coach at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and has coached collegiate football at Bridgewater State University, North Carolina Wesleyan College, and Becker College.  He has a passion for helping athletes reach their goals and athletic potential.  Throughout his coaching career he has helped develop several All-Conference players, All-Americans, & professional athletes, while also helping teams achieve their goals.  At Becker College, he was part of a coaching staff that led the team to their best record in school history. 
 

Ryan is a graduate of Bridgewater State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Coaching.  He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Counsel of Exercise and has Specialty Certifications in Sports Conditioning, as well as Posture, Performance and Mobility.  He is also certified in CPR/ AED through the American Heart Association. 

Nick DiVerdi

PERFORMANCE COACH

Coach Nick DiVerdi is a Personal Trainer and Strength/Conditioning Coach that joined Teamworks Sports Performance in January 2018.   He is passionate, dedicated, hardworking and loves to work with athletes of all ages/abilities because he knows success is always great to see.  He is also experienced and well versed in personalizing workout plans based on the athlete’s ability.

Nick has a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from Lasell College and has learned many of his training techniques while working with Division 1 athletes at Boston College.  Nick also holds a United States Weightlifting Level One Performance Coach status, and is proficient in the Olympic lifts. Nick believes in correcting imbalances to make progress in your gains. His attitude and energy make each and every workout intense and efficient. Despite that fact, Nick focuses his planning on the basis that getting results is a marathon and not a sprint. He truly lives by the creed patience is a virtue.

Jackie Pinney

PERFORMANCE COACH

 

Jackie graduated with honors from UMass Lowell with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

She has a diverse background in training people ages 7 to 99, as well as those who are able bodied and those who have neurological conditions, such as MS.

Jackie was a 2-year captain and coach of her Club Track and Field team. Her four year collegiate career culminated in qualifying for, and competing at, the National Intercollegiate Club Running Association’s National Championship meet at Miami University in Ohio.

Along with her 9 year track and field career, Jackie also holds a black belt in Kenpo Karate.

Chris Dagostino

PERFORMANCE COACH

 

Chris has experience with athletic performance in many shapes; which gives him a very well rounded and clear picture of what has to be done for people to achieve their goals.  His collegiate track and field experience has given him great insight into how to maximize force production and develop athleticism in a very raw sense. Five years of mixed martial arts experience has pushed Chris more into a blend of skill, strength, conditioning and finding a balance between the three. More recently, golf has shown him how important the mental side of athletics can be and how to cultivate a winning mindset. 

In eight years of personal training and strength and conditioning he has worked with every kind of individual; always with some form of performance goal at the center of our training regimen. His main drive is a passion for athletics, a constant hunger to learn more, and dedicating himself to making others stronger in whatever ways their lives demand. 

Recent work with The Manning Passing Academy has shown him how rewarding working with high level athletes is and that no job is too small to make an impact. With strengths ranging from athletic development, injury prevention, explosive force production, myofascial release techniques and a positive growth oriented mindset, Chris is a well-rounded, consistent coach who will help you achieve your fitness goals.
