DIRECTOR OF STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
Coach Ryan Barry brings to Teamworks Sports Performance a long history of developing athletes (from youth to professional) and helping adult clients reach their fitness goals. With his experience as a two sport college athlete, coach and strength coach, he understands what is expected to compete at a high level and knows how to adapt workouts to the individual needs of each client.
Prior to joining TSP, Ryan worked at the Fieldhouse in Sudbury, where he specialized in athletic development of youth, middle school, high school and college athletes. He was also a Personal Trainer at Boston Sports Clubs, where he worked with a wide range of clients, and the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Becker College where he helped prepare the football program and conference champion softball team.
Ryan is currently an assistant football coach at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and has coached collegiate football at Bridgewater State University, North Carolina Wesleyan College, and Becker College. He has a passion for helping athletes reach their goals and athletic potential. Throughout his coaching career he has helped develop several All-Conference players, All-Americans, & professional athletes, while also helping teams achieve their goals. At Becker College, he was part of a coaching staff that led the team to their best record in school history.
Ryan is a graduate of Bridgewater State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Coaching. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Counsel of Exercise and has Specialty Certifications in Sports Conditioning, as well as Posture, Performance and Mobility. He is also certified in CPR/ AED through the American Heart Association.
Graduated from Littleton High School in 2016. Attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2016-2020 pursing a B.S in Kinesiology. While at UMass Hayden competed as a Division I Track and Field athlete during the winter and spring seasons. Hayden was a junior and senior captain, placed 3rd at the Atlantic-10 conference meet in the 4x100 meter relay setting the 3rd fastest time in program history, placed 3rd in the New England Championship meet in the 4x100 meter relay, was placed on the Atlantic-10 Commissioners Honor Roll, and was nominated for the “Excellence in Leadership Award”.
During his undergraduate degree Hayden was an intern at Mike Boyle’s Strength and Conditioning Gym and following the internship he accepted a part time position at MBSC leading group exercise classes with middle-school, high-school, collegiate, and professional level athletes. These sessions revolved around developing speed, agility, strength, and power along with promoting proper movement mechanics on and off the field. Hayden also programmed and designed exercise programs for personal training clients of all ages and athletic levels. Currently, Hayden is pursuing his Doctor of Physical Therapy at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science where he seeks to specialize in higher level sports therapy.
