Programs For Ages 5-18+

Our Commitment To Long-Term Athletic Development

At Teamworks Sports Performance, we believe in building athletes from the ground up through a comprehensive approach that focuses on developing key skills and athleticism in a fun, supportive environment. Our programs are designed for children and teens of all ages, ensuring each athlete can reach their full potential.

 

Our approach is built on the principles of Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD), a framework that emphasizes the systematic and progressive growth of athletes over time. This seven-stage model ensures that athletes are not just focused on short-term results but are building the skills and foundation necessary for long-term success.

 

The seven stages of LTAD include:

  1. Active Start – Building basic movement skills in young children.

  2. FUNdamentals – Developing basic sports skills while keeping activities fun and engaging.

  3. Learn to Train – Enhancing sport-specific skills.

  4. Train to Train – Introducing competition while continuing to build strength and speed.

  5. Train to Compete – Preparing athletes to compete at higher levels.

  6. Train to Win – Specializing in sport-specific training for top-level performance.

  7. Active for Life – Encouraging a lifetime of healthy physical activity.

 

At Teamworks Sports Performance, we utilize this model to ensure that athletes of all ages are developing at a pace that’s right for them. Our programs offer maximum value by focusing on key athletic skills like coordination, speed, and strength, while reducing the risk of injury. Through our LTAD-based approach, we help athletes become well-rounded and prepared to excel in sports, academics, and life.

OUR PROGRAMS

We offer programs tailored for four key age groups

SPEED DEMONS (Ages 5-8)

Our Speed Demons program is the starting point in athletic development for our youngest athletes. The focus is on learning the ABC's of movement:

​

  • Agility

  • Balance

  • Coordination

 

These core skills lay the groundwork for all sports and athletic endeavors. Through games, obstacle courses, and free play, children improve their physical capabilities while having fun. This early training helps them develop strength, coordination, and overall athleticism, setting the stage for a lifetime of movement success.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT (Ages 8-11)

Ages 8-11 are known as the "golden age" of skill development, where young athletes are primed to make exceptional improvements in their athletic abilities. Our Youth Athletic Development program emphasizes:

  • Balance

  • Coordination

  • Strength

  • Agility

  • Reaction time

 

By using fun and engaging activities like gymnastics, parkour, ninja warrior-style exercises, and track and field drills, we build well-rounded athletes. Our goal is to improve their athletic potential while creating a strong foundation for future training and sports participation.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (Ages 12-14)

As athletes transition into middle school, we introduce them to more advanced training, focusing on two key components:

  • Strength development

  • Speed training

​

This program marks their first step into organized strength and conditioning. Key aspects include proper warm-up routines, flexibility work, jumping and landing mechanics, and an introduction to athletic strength training. Learning proper lifting techniques at an early age creates a solid base for continued athletic progress.

 

Research shows that initiating strength and conditioning activities during pre-adolescence and maintaining them into adolescence maximizes training age and potential. In simple terms, this approach creates a more well-rounded athlete, enhancing performance in all sports.

HIGH SCHOOL (Ages15-18)

For high school athletes looking to take their performance to the next level, our High School Strength and Conditioning program is designed to address all aspects of athletic development. Sessions are held three days a week for 1.5 hours, focusing on:

  • Movement assessments to develop individualized training programs

  • Injury prevention

  • Flexibility

  • Speed and agility development

  • Jumping ability and explosive power

  • Strength training

  • Conditioning

 

Athletes are encouraged to participate in at least three sessions per week to maximize their results. By addressing each athlete's unique needs, we ensure they develop strength, speed, and overall athleticism to excel in their sport.
