With diverse backgrounds in athletic training, coaching, and performance development, each team member brings a unique set of skills and a shared passion for helping athletes of all ages reach their full potential. Sports Performance Coach
Ron Portante
Ron has been part of the Teamworks Sports Performance team since 2016. A Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise, Ron brings a deep well of experience as both an athlete and educator.
A former standout football player at Acton-Boxborough High School (member of the renowned 1994 "AB Super Team") and a key figure in launching the school’s wrestling program, Ron went on to wrestle and play rugby at Springfield College. He later earned his master’s degree in Education from the University of Oregon, where he also played rugby for the Eugene Men’s Club.
Before joining TSP full time, Ron taught Physical Education at Lawrence High School with a focus on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu—an art he continues to study and practice. With a background that spans high school, collegiate, and adult athletics, Ron brings a lifetime of training experience and a passionate, hands-on approach to helping athletes reach their potential.

Sports Performance Coach
Eric Arnold
Eric Arnold is a Northeastern University graduate and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with over 20 years of experience as a Strength Coach, Powerlifting Coach, and Personal Trainer. He’s passionate about helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds get stronger, build confidence, and perform their best both in the gym and on the field.
Eric has competed in powerlifting and has coached and organized events for several organizations, giving him a deep understanding of the sport and its community. His blend of expertise, encouragement, and real‑world experience makes him a trusted coach for anyone looking to elevate their performance.

Sports Performance Coach
Tim Parker
Tim graduated from Springfield College in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and has spent the past ten years developing his coaching craft under the mentorship of renowned strength coach Jeremy Frisch. During that time, Tim worked with athletes of all ages—from youth and middle schoolers to high schoolers and adults—while also helping write programs tailored to different developmental levels. In addition, Tim has a SFG 1 certification (StrongFirst Kettlebell Instructor).
He completed a 400-hour internship at Holy Cross, where he worked closely with high school and youth groups and assisted the football team by helping set up the weight room and correcting lifting technique. Tim has also gained valuable experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Hardy Physical Therapy, supporting clients through rehab exercises and daily clinic operations.
A lifelong multi-sport athlete, Tim competed in wrestling, rugby, soccer, volleyball, and tennis, which gives him a well-rounded perspective when training athletes. Outside the gym, he enjoys hiking, swimming, the beach, and spending time with his family and friends. His passion for coaching and helping others improve is what drives him every day at Teamworks.

Shelby Babin
Shelby earned her NASM Personal Trainer certification in 2023 and graduated a year later with a degree in Sports Management, fueled by her lifelong passion for athletics. A standout basketball player, she scored over 1,000 points in her high school career before discovering a love for running, completing four half marathons to date. Shelby also gives back to the game by coaching her former high school basketball team during the winter and has experience coaching middle school softball. Dedicated to training hard and pushing limits, she is passionate about helping others unlock their potential and achieve their goals.

Sports Performance Coach
Owen Medeiros
Coach Owen graduated in 2025 with a degree in Biology from Salve Regina University. He earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification in 2026 and plans to pursue a career as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
Growing up, he played football, basketball, and baseball, and has since expanded his athletic experience to include multiple half marathons and a full marathon.
Coach Owen is passionate about helping others challenge themselves and pursue their goals.

Sports Performance Coach
Brett Earle
Coach Brett is graduating this semester with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Science and plans to obtain his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification upon graduation. He will continue his education by pursuing a master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science at Merrimack College.
Currently, Coach Brett competes as a Division I track and field sprinter. Growing up, he developed a strong passion for running and basketball, which helped shape his athletic journey.
He is most passionate about building meaningful connections and practicing humility through both the highs and lows of life.
